Oliver Platt joins James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender in X-Men: First Class

The casting news for X-MEN: FIRST CLASS just won’t stop. In our third report in nearly 24 hours, we learn that Oliver Platt will be joining the team. He will not be a mutant but will have a cool name as The Man in Black. Great addition, Platt is one of those under recognized actors who make every film better usually stealing scenes from the bigger stars.
So to repeat, the film will be directed by Matthew Vaughn and stars James McAvoy as Professor X, Mike Fassbender as Magneto, Alice Eve as Emma Frost, Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Edi Gathegi as Darwin, Lucas Till as Havoc, Caleb Landry Jones as Banshee, Jason Flemyng as Azazel, Rose Byrne as Dr. Moira MacTagger and Kevin Bacon as a villain yet to be named.
