Pixar's Monsters Inc. sequel gets a title

It’s been close to a year since we’ve heard any news about the sequel to the 2001 Pixar hit MONSTERS INC. but the project is still moving forward and this weekend the title was released. Drumroll please…the title will be MONSTERS UNIVERSITY. The story line is still being kept under wraps, but it’s been said that this sequel is more along the lines of a prequel and will follow Mike and Sully as they meet while in the school where they learn to scare the kiddies. Our favorite monster voices are also returning in the form of John Goodman as Sully, Billy Crystal as Mike Wazowski and Steve Buscemi as Randall Boggs. MONSTERS UNIVERSITY will be released in November 2012.
In my opinion, MONSTERS INC. was one of the better Pixar films and one I actually thought would be fun to revisit (unlike CARS) so I’m looking forward to seeing this film. Plus, who doesn’t love a good story that takes place in school?
