Robert De Niro in the first photo from Red Lights from Rodrigo Cortes

We’re getting a first look at the upcoming supernatural thriller from director Rodrigo Cortes (BURIED) called RED LIGHTS. Although the photo is nothing special and makes Robert De Niro look cool and cheesy at the same time, the story is intriguing nonetheless. The film follows a psychologist (Sigourney Weaver) and her assistant (Elizabeth Olsen) who investigate paranormal activity. One of their cases brings a 30-year veteran psychic (De Niro) back in the game of supernatural phenomenon. Cillian Murphy also stars in the film as a love interest to Olsen. Filming is now underway with no release date yet set.

I’m interested in this film mainly because I want to see how great Elizabeth Olsen is, as she has been getting all kinds of accolades as of late. It also doesn’t hurt that Cillian Murphy is in the film, he tends to pick interesting roles that are a little off the beaten path so his participation helps the cause.
