Robert Pattinson looks worried on the first banner for Cosmopolis

Even with the very adult David Cronenberg directing the film COSMOPOLIS, one has to wonder if the filmmakers behind the project are concerned that the fact the film stars Robert Pattinson is going to dissuade adult audiences from giving the film a chance.  Even the most die-hard Twi-hards have to admit that anyone or anything associated with the film has turned into a punchline (for right or wrong) in pop culture and that’s going to hurt the chances for anyone to break out of the Twilight mold.  But early buzz around COSMOPOLIS seems to be positive and everything we’ve seen so far is at the very least, intriguing.  Plus, Bob Patty held his own in WATER FOR ELEPHANTS, so this could be a good film.  I don’t think the film has a US distributor yet, so I’m not sure if you’ll be seeing the banner below in theaters, or if it’s a marketing pic used for some other purpose.

The film stars Robert Pattinson, Jay Baruchel, Paul Giamatti, Kevin Durand, Juliette Binoche, Smantha Morton, Mathieu Amalric and Sarah Gadon (pictured below).  The David Cronenberg directed film hits theaters in 2012.
