Rosie Huntington-Whiteley joins Tom Hardy and Charlize Theron in Fury Road

In a movie full of laughable scenes, the one I’ll always remember from TRANSFORMERS: DARK OF THE MOON came during the final end battle where the camera stopped on a frozen Rosie Huntington-Whiteley (with her mouth open, no less) while cars and buildings exploded in the background. It was all the proof I needed that although attractive, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley is better at standing around getting her picture taken than she is trying to act. But this is Hollywood and talent doesn’t always matter, so Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has signed on for another high profile film, FURY ROAD.
FURY ROAD is a follow-up of sorts to the Mel Gibson starring MAD MAX series of movies. The film has been in development for more than a decade with Charlize Theron being attached nearly the whole time. The a few years ago, a little known Tom Hardy agreed to join the film, but still nothing manifested. But now it looks like the George Miller directed film will start in July and may be released in 2013. Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and fellow supermodel Abby Lee Kershaw will be playing two of the “five wives” that are on the run from some bad guys that Hardy’s character will eventually kill. (Deadline)
