Ryan Reynolds will be joined by Mireille Enos and Scott Speedman in Queen of the Night

Ryan Reynolds is one of those actors that always seems to be attached to multiple projects at once, so you never know what he’ll do next until other actors join in and production actually starts. Back in August, we learned that Ryan Reynolds was going to be teaming up with director Atom Egoyan for the drama/thriller QUEEN OF THE NIGHT. Today, we learn that ‘The Killing’ star Mireille Enos and Scott Speedman (UNDERWORLD) will be joining him in the film about a father whose daughter gets kidnapped and then 8 years later, he receives clues that lead him to believe she’s still alive. Obviously, this leads him on a hunt to try to find his missing daughter.
Enos will be playing the ex-wife of Reynolds’ character, who checks in on the case on a yearly basis. Speedman will play a cop assigned to the case. Director Eyoyan has an eclectic resume, usually hovering towards erotic thrillers (CHLOE, WHERE THE TRUTH LIES), but an abduction and the subsequent hunt seems right up his alley. Production will begin early next year. (Deadline)
