I think CONVICTION is the movie that Sam Rockwell fans have been waiting for. If you’ve followed his career over the years, then you know that the guy is a fantastic actor and seems to give consistently underrated performances in every movie he’s in. But CONVICTION has the Oscar “feel” to it and puts him in a male lead role opposite Oscar favorite Hilary Swank. The film is about a man that’s wrongly convicted of murder and who’s sister puts herself through law school just so she can take his case and get him out of jail. Rockwell, Swank, Juliette Lewis, Minnie Driver, Melissa Leo and Peter Gallagher also star in the true story from director Tony Goldwyn.
The film is set to soak up the awards with an October 15th limited release. Watch the trailer here.
