A new trailer for TEXAS KILLING FIELDS from director Ami Canaan Mann has just been released and it looks very dark. The film takes place in Texas and follows a local homicide detective named Jake Souder (Sam Worthington) who teams up with a cop from New York named Heigh (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) to investigate a series of unsolved murders. When the killer starts changing the game and teasing the detectives, they must solve the crime while a young girl’s (Chloe Moretz) life is on the line. The film also stars Jessica Chastain, Jason Clarke, Stephen Graham and Sheryl Lee. It opens in theaters on October 7, 2011.
I’m not a huge fan of these dark/serial killer/true crime films but this looks interesting in a very gloomy way. I don’t really see myself watching this unless it gets raving reviews, but if these types of films interest you, then you’ll definitely have to catch this, it has quite a stellar cast.
