Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has made us suffer through enough drivel like THE TOOTH FAIRY for so long that we’ve forgotten the guy can tear up the screen when he wants to. After watching the first trailer for FASTER, I can’t help but wonder why The Rock hasn’t been doing these types of films all along. The premise of the movie (a man out for revenge for the murder of his brother) is played out and this won’t offer anything spectacular, but the trailer is filmed very stylish and the action got my heart pumping. And that’s really all you can ask for with a film like this. Overall, I think this is going to be a fun ride.
The film stars Johnson, Billy Bob Thornton, Maggie Grace, Carla Gugino, Micaela Johnson, Tom Berenger and Moon Bloodgood. The George Tillman Jr. directed film opens everywhere November 24th. Watch the trailer here.
