Tom Cruise's Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol is officially the most successful of the franchise

After all the hoopla surrounding Tom Crusie and the fourth Mission Impossible film, it turns out the film is now the most successful Mission Impossible movie to date, already bringing in a whopping $571 million worldwide, beating out MISSION IMPOSSIBLE 2’s $546.2 million. True, the fourth film was helped by higher IMAX prices, but it’s still racking up the numbers worldwide and should enjoy at least another couple of months worth of sales. Tom Cruise has a handful of other projects on deck, including the formerly titled OBLIVION, ALL YOU NEED IS KILL and ROCK OF AGES, but I can’t imagine that Mission Impossible 5 is too far away.
MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – GHOST PROTOCOL is directed by Brad Bird (of Pixar fame) and stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Simon Pegg, Lea Seydoux and Josh Holloway. Keep an eye out for the Blu-ray announcement soon.
